I was surprised that this appointment seemed to just go through to the keeper and virtually be ignored by MSM. Thanks to Gideon Haigh for saying what so many of us ordinary folk were thinking.

Fantastic. Spot on. Good on Gideon. McLachlan's appointment is gob smacking. Tabcorp is repaying him for his defence of gambling to Parliament last year. McL is a moral-free zone.
