Two thirds were in favour of a scheme that would have fast food companies print the licence plate number of drive-through customers... show more

What if naughty people pull fast food wrappers out of the bin and throw them on the street just for shiggles? There is no continuity of evidence!

🤔 I hate littering as much as anyone, but is putting licence plates on fast food packs the right way? 🌍 Concerns about data privacy 🛑, false blame 🚫, bin overspills from collectors 🗑️, and animal interference 🐀 make me question this. Let’s think carefully. #DataPrivacy #HumanError #Littering

Where did this ‘exclusive survey’ idea come from? Was it connected to anyone in the surveillance industry?

This will definitely only ever be used for this...

Khan and his C40 cronies will love this idea- they can use it to fine people for eating too many burgers.

People will peel the bar code off and throw the litter away What if a bin is kicked over and packaging is blown around? Customers who walk into fast food stores will not get a bar code so can discard packaging onto roadways

You do need more bin on the street…….In my opinion…..

I hate littering but....... If I buy in the store I can still litter. If I rip the barcode off I can still litter. If I dispose of it in a bin, animals or someone just throws that bin everywhere... I get fined. So many flaws and a massive cash cow for fines for someone

Think it through people, it’s sooooooo open to abuse it’s crazy. As soon as you deposit said rubbish in a bin, you are leaving yourself open to that rubbish being taken out and littered with you footing the fine.

Surveillance, digital ID, social credit score... Are there any aspects of communist China that you don't want to import to here?
