An expanded view of yesterday’s impressive #SolarFlare and coronal mass ejection. The video shows timelapses of data from SDO, SUVI, and SOHO respectively, each revealing mesmerising views of different plasma physics processes! An impressive event. #spaceweather

At what sort of speed it that plasma travelling? It appears to have travelled the width of the Sun in perhaps 1-2 seconds!

The clips aren’t real time (there’s a time stamp at the bottom), but still moving very fast. Close to 2000 kilometres per second!

If the sun boils our atmosphere, we should move to the north and south or plant trees, but stop the stupid wars. Stop the wars.

Burning Gas Ball in vacuum! 🤣🤣🤣

At the very beginning.. What Angstrom is that? Love the Darkness.

The first clip is a combination of 171 Å and 131 Å, both from AIA/SDO!
