all of this plus y’all need to accept that disability can happen to anyone at any moment in life. a pregnant person may make sure that they give birth to an abled baby but nothing will prevent LIFE from happening to said baby, and disability is a part of life. +

a lot of people actually end up disabled from the process of birthing itself! disability can happen to ANYONE at ANY POINT in their lives and if anyone lives long enough they WILL BECOME DISABLED. the choice to have a child should already include the acknowledgement that+

the child may become disabled at some point and you need to be prepared to handle that as a parent/sibling/family member, because it can happen no matter how much you try to prevent having a child with a congenital disability.
