Official ruling: Section 3 (vi): contacting, with any part of the player's person, attire and equipment, a ball in play, or any device used to mark a ball in play.

@mosgovsa @saudibilliards What an utterly bizarre post by a professional organisation, IMHO. I absolutely love watching snooker but am not player & don't know intricacies of rules. Referees under huge pressure in sport. Either a) apologise for ref error & rematch b) explain why it's a foul. My 2 cents'.

@mosgovsa @saudibilliards Is this really professional from WST? It's asking fans to question the judgement of your referee.

@mosgovsa @saudibilliards Um don't you lot know the rules?

@mosgovsa @saudibilliards Was never a foul. The prick ref should be thrown out of the game. Cost ding this match simple as that. Never foul in month of Sundays end of.

@mosgovsa @saudibilliards Stupid rule personally

@mosgovsa @saudibilliards No problem with the rule. ANYTHING touching a ball is, and should be, a foul. Allow this and where, when and how does it stop?

@mosgovsa @saudibilliards Foul surely

@mosgovsa @saudibilliards I’m sure the ref knows his job. The tip clearly hits other balls after cue ball

@mosgovsa @saudibilliards Seems fair interpretation
