Father I so needed to hear this. My father, like yours, is in his final days. Hes 87. Watching him deteriorate has been one of the hardest experiences of my life. Hes my hero - my benchmark. How I know what’s good in the world. Thank you for reminding me that there is still “life” in the world.

Beautiful. So glad you got to experience this. We miscarried our first pregnancy and I almost lost both my wife and my firstborn during his delivery. Harrowing stuff, but it does snap things into very sharp, very clear perspective.

Wonderful. It's been a day for miracles. A lady in my parish who's got stage 4 cancer & who I've been praying for, was at Mass this morning. The first time since Christmas, looking very much better & in good spirits. Truly God is wonderful and merciful!

My goodness. Today was a good day. Today was a good. day. How blessed. Tears in my eyes, what joy God has shared the knowledge of His mercy like that with His priest. Have you ever seen Moonstruck? It's about Catholics, but definitely failed Christians. But the most beautiful line - "Do you love him, Loretta?" "Aw, Ma. I love him awful." God loves you awful. Our little one was baptized and confirmed when she was 9 days old after the doctor told us she was in liver failure and was going to die. Every single day is like this for me. God is so good.
