Then, we dove into his Strava and I spoke to him about his self-coached training today. I’ve never been more fascinated by someone’s approach. How Biya Simbassa Ran 2:06:53 At The Valencia Marathon To Become The Fourth-Fastest American Man In History 🇺🇸 Biya Simbassa (Simba) was hoping to run the Chicago Marathon but his 2:10 personal best and 11th place finish at the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials didn't get him a spot in the elite field. So he asked his agent HAWI Management to see if he could get into the Valencia Marathon. Elite coordinator Marc Roig Tió got back and said Valencia's last pace group for the elite men would be targeting 2:06:30. Simbassa shifted some of his training to try his best to get close to that.
