An intense shower started bubbling up over Perth at 1.30pm this afternoon and it's been there since with some very high rates of rainfall - around 60mm/hour. Rainfall as intense as this is never great in a city as it makes flooding more likely on roads. Anyone there just now?

Blackout is a lying dishonest scoundrel. We have over a 125 years of rainfall data for west of the Great Dividing Range (the Murray Darling Basin) and the data is clear, there is NO climate change trend in rainfall. There is NO increase in natural disasters - it’s a land out droughts and flooding rains, as it has always been. And to lie to farmers, to imply that your policies of "taking action on climate" will reduce droughts or floods is utterly contemptible.

$BTC has been liquidating shorts for a few days with these high highs on LTF. However as I pointed out there are some longs stacking up below. Just now the longs at 64K was liquidated. I see some more longs around 62-63K area with high leverage. Be careful. Thoughts?

There has been a record level of snow where you are, the roads are a mess and the city is adamant about clearing the roads for public safety. The city issued a parking ban an hour before they started towing everyone away. Imagine coming out from work and your car is gone, could the have done better and have been more fair about it? Maybe not charge them this time since an hour isn’t sufficient time’s notice?

In the last 6 hours, a major convective thunderstorm cell has rapidly formed over the greater Tokyo area of Japan and is continuously back-forming to create a stalled-out, stationary motion. This is leading to extreme rain over the Bōsō Peninsula, where urban flooding in Chiba and the surrounding cities is ongoing. As much as ~100 mm (4 in) of rain fell here in just a single hour. And right now, this massive thunderstorm is only getting more intense.
