@kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa This looks good but children need school mates, so important for the future.

No one refuses you to learn this and put it in practice after school. This is deranged and performative. School is way more than just getting a job. It teaches people how to interact, socialize and work with people. This retard should be taken to jail for denying his kids education.

Personally, I think going to school isn’t just about academics—it’s also about learning how to live with others and develop social skills. Children gain so much beyond classroom education; they learn how life works outside the comfort of home and how to navigate the world independently.

@kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa I think a little bit of everything is important. Since they are not in USA Canada etc, socializing and making friends is Good. Not bad idea though, but not great idea to focus on just that

@kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa Maybe the future is formal education and real-life money skills. Teach calculus if you want, but also teach taxes, savings and business.

@BelgaLive1997 @kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa The "job seeker vs. job creator" gap is real, but school offers a "hidden curriculum" home life can’t easily replicate: social emotional intelligence; navigating diverse hierarchies, and building lifelong networks. Maybe the win isn't choosing one, but bridging the two.

@kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa Skills are the future, For the past few years I pledged never to take any of my children through this education system that teaches nothing about critical thinking, creation and more but best teaches us how to cram and ruin society

@kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa I do homeschooling as a teacher and I can testify, it is truly impactful for a parent who would love to focus on any area and give their children an individualized education. For community, the learners usually have family and family friends to share with.

@ahimbisibwem1 @kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa Wealth is not taught like that, it’s taught through practices and routines, visit any Indian family and see how wealth creation and maintenance is taught, not through words but actions

@qautharah @kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa The conventional school does not only teach stuff to do with jobs. It trains more to life. There's something called the Hidden Curriculum. Such learners wouldn't benefit anything from it.

@kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa It's valuable idea, but not for everyone. A better approach is blending formal education with practical skills like entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

@kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa Its good to integrate all models But age also matters. Kids need to learn certain things from school. Interpersonal skills, time keeping, socialization etc Home schooling is also expensive and resources under utilized. Govt should add more skilling lessons in curriculum

@kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa It's a great idea. Though, in my opinion the children look so young to comprehend what Dad is teaching them. That lesson in my view is meant for 10-12,13 year olds.

@kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa I have lived all my adult life regretting all the 18 years I spent in school learning to seek jobs only to successfully fail to find one. The govt should adopt this system to develop UG. But that will probably be the next govt, this current govt doesn't give a fuck!

@kyamageroandrew @GODFREY_Kutesa I appreciate the different route taken. “If the fear and love of God is not at the absolute center core of your parenting, the trajectory is set in the wrong direction”-Don Green. We are created to know God and glorify Him and without that, it’s emptiness!

As someone who has spent three decades advocating for children, I find it deeply troubling that his first instinct is to make younger children criminally liable rather than address the failures that allowed this tragedy to happen in the first place. Three children are dead. The question is not why a 10-year-old should be punished. The question is why minors have access to firearms. The question is why violence continues to find its way into our schools. The question is why our education, mental health, social welfare, and law enforcement systems repeatedly fail children before a crime is ever committed. Real leadership requires more than reacting to headlines. It requires understanding the problem. Lowering the age of criminal responsibility may generate applause. It may generate media attention. But there is little evidence that it addresses the root causes of youth violence. Children who commit serious crimes must be held accountable. But accountability should not become a substitute for prevention. A senator’s responsibility is not merely to propose the harshest response. It is to propose the most effective one. I have worked with vulnerable children for most of my adult life. Many have been abused, neglected, abandoned, exploited, or exposed to violence long before they ever entered conflict with the law. It is easy to appear tough on children. It is much harder to confront the adult failures that create these tragedies. Before Senator Padilla asks Congress to treat younger children as criminals, perhaps he should explain why government has failed to protect them as children in the first place.
