An international student on a work permit which is going to expire soon blames Canada for the fact that she's going to have to leave despite the fact that no such guarantee is made to students or temporary workers. I should know because I came to Canada as an... international student nearly 30 years ago. She and her friends are now exploring ways of how they can stay on in Canada, including applying for refugee status which will be tied up for years while their case is decided. Our immigration minister Marc Miller ᐅᑭᒫᐃᐧᐅᓃᐸᐄᐧᐤᐃᔨᐣ Mikotsikaa naively believes those whose permits are expiring are going to leave Canada voluntarily which is a joke. He should watch this video. The sense of entitlement of some of these people is astonishing. She doesn't have a legal right to stay on in Canada beyond the date her current permit expires and if she refuses to leave, she should be deported. These people are playing on white guilt, the easiest thing to exploit in Canada where people are generally naive and think everyone is well intentioned.show more

As soon as that permit expires, deport immediately. If we have to go looking, blacklist from ever coming back. Pause the asylum program for at least two years.

I was an international student, I made my way through the changes, I observed the laws and navigated the correct pathway to became a citizen and no one never promised anything. I did by myself and succeed. Do not blame anyone else for your failure. This is on you and you only.

The sense of entitlement of these international students/work permit holders who can barely speak English is extraordinary. There's no god given right to permanent residency, and if your permit expires, the law requires you to leave. The homeless people on my street in Ottawa don't get this amount of care and attention lavished on them by the community as these folks are getting. Where are our priorities?

GOOD BYE. The point of TEMPORARY is TEMPORARY. How is this hard to understand? You came on a temporary work permit. Not a promise. Not a guarantee. Not a backdoor to permanent residency. Nova Scotia said “enough.” They closed the loopholes, put an expiry date on applications, and told people whose permits are up that it’s time to go home. Now we’re watching the same scripted tears we’ve seen for years: “I built a life here…” “I have friends…” “I just need more time…” You were given an opportunity to work. Not a lifetime membership. Which would imply that Indian police forces may have intentionally not shared criminal records of applicants where they exist. Minister Miller also rejected claims made by India's Foreign Minister Jaishankar that Canada's system was lax in welcoming Indian criminals into its country. It is unclear from Jaishankar's statement why the Modi regime would allow criminals to leave India if it is known to Indian officials that they are wanted criminals there. The Sikh community has believed for time now that India is intentionally hiding criminal records from Canadian immigration officials of Indian applicants for temporary visas. This would explain, community members share, how members of the Bishnoi Gang, which allegedly have links to Indian authorities, have freely left India and entered Canada on student visas.
