Michael Anderson on how 'Logan's Run' (1976) turned the tide for Sci-Fi movies in the 1970's: "Interviewer: When you made Logan’s Run, was there ever any talk of filming the other two Logan novels? Anderson: There had been talk. I’ve had talks over the years of other people doing them, but I’ve heard no more and as far as I know there are no plans that I know of to do sequels. They did do a short television afterwards. But I still think that the film remains to me a piece that I’m very proud of. Interviewer: It was part of an era of SF after '2001: A Space Odyssey' (1968) and before 'Star Wars' (1977).' GFT 🌘 Far away, in a mythical Transilvania, there lived a very well-known family of vampires. Known for all sorts of cruelty and their usual vampire's love for blood, they had a great concern of not having a child for years. In the end, after centuries, they finally had a long-awaited child, a baby girl. They could not imagine anybody being compared to her as for them the sun and the moon rose with her. However, as time passed, the vampires realised that their daughter only looked like them by her appearance and by her vampire's teeth. A daughter of vampires, known for their exceptional love for blood, had an entirely opposite, a human nature. She wasn't aggressive like vampires but hugged instead, and she kissed rather than biting. She poured kindness and wasn't wicked, and she loved instead of scaring. I think he’s losing his legs a little bit, I think he’s coming around the ball a little bit. There’s a lot more swing-and-miss than there was early. I think he is just playing a little bit—with my eyes—more tentative, and not as free & easy as he was in some parts of last year and early on. So I think that just kind of getting him back to playing every day in a little bit less of a hot box, he’ll perform back to where he can and will.
