Mmm - "It was a horrible period 1953-79" Thats not what every Iranian I have met (or their parents) said about the time. They yearn for it back. I saw a film last night "Not Without My Daughter" a true story that gives a very clear account of Iran under Islamic rule.

The illusion of knowing about Iran! What he is talking about may have mattered in the first 20 years post-revolution. Since then, majority of Iranians have moved on. "Amrika-seteizi" (hostility to US) is one of the pillars of the regime for blaming all shortcomings on the West.
