An IRGC-affiliated terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Apparently, their actual target was not the ambulances but the Machzike Hadath synagogue next door. They have previously attacked synagogues in Liège and Greece on Wednesday, as well as carrying out an arson attack on a synagogue in Rotterdam.... They claim they chose the synagogue because of a century-old link with a rabbi who later moved to Israel, though he was not, as they claim, the “first chief rabbi of Israel.” The synagogue itself is certainly not a “main bastion of support for Israel,” but a small local synagogue used mostly by ultra-Orthodox Jews. The Jewish and Persian-exile communities in the UK have been begging the government to make the IRGC illegal in the UK due to its persistent and credible terror threats against British citizens. They pleaded with the police to deal with activists who have been using their platforms on IRGC-sponsored media to spread deranged conspiracies about Jews in Britain, specific schools and synagogues, and even individual families.
