An old friend returns. Joey Harrington helps deliver the second Generation O combination, coming this week. #GoDucks

Can we generation O this ?

I'm a sucker for the Harrington era jerseys

here's the very first helmet created with the 'O' After attending an auto show in Detroit during the Oregon redesign project, I saw a new paint called Chroma-Flair. It's that color changing paint that came out that year. They just happened to have a mallard green color. We brought some of the car paint back to the NIKE campus and spray painted a helmet to see how it would look. What we found is it looked GREAT but the car paint broke down the material on the helmet. Luckily, we ran some test where we dropped 5 lb. weights on the helmet to see if the paint did anything. So, we got in touch with Ridell and the paint company to create a mallard green iridescent paint that could work on the helmets. We also worked with Tracy Teague in footwear to paint the cleats with the same color. This helmet pictured here is the VERY FIRST helmet with the 'O' on it. Originally we wanted to try a Notre Dame approach and just paint the helmets with no graphics. The rubber 'O' on the front was all that was supposed to be there. But after much discussion we decided to put the new 'O' on the helmet. This jersey is also the very first jersey created with the new colors. The dark green on the jersey was pulled from the "dark" part of the Chroma-flair green and the "lighter" part was pulled from the brightest area of the Chroma-flair green.

These unis deserve a throwback day!

Wish it was emerald green 🥲

Its the wrong shade of green tho 😔

FYI @Dameshek I can’t never see Joey Harrington’s name without hearing you say it. This has been true for 20+ years of my life. Just thought you might want to know that’s the impact you’ve had on my brain. ♥️
