The justice system is broken when it puts criminals over victims. A he raped and murdered 5 year old Sahara Dwight in Oregon. He rightly got life without parole. Now, thanks to Oregon’s Bill 1008, he’s up for release on June 3. Her father is begging the public to stop it. This is wrong to release him. My own 6 month old niece was murdered. Her killer walks free today…living her full life, breathing air, while my niece only got 6 months on this earth because of her. Murder victims don’t get second chances. Why do their killers? Victims’ families do not get granted an early release on their sentence of lifelong pain and loss. But these monsters get “rehabilitation” and early release. This isn’t justice. This isn’t kindness either…not to the victim, not to the victims families and not the public this known murder and rapist will be released upon. The ONLY place that child murderer should be allowed to live is with the families of the legislators who approved the bill, & the judge who releases him. Appopriate accountability for not protecting the public ?

Why is no one looking at the bright side? Once Dustin is released, he will be a lot easier to find… A father deserves retribution.

That father knows what needs to happen. That is the American way. The judges that allow this and the politicians who draft the legislation, are all complicit and criminals.

I was born and raised in Oregon. Lived most of my life in Eugene. The libs have made it unlivable with cruelty dressed up as compassion, like this law. My heart breaks for Tyler. I left in 2021 and don't plan on going back. The Oregon I know and love is gone forever.

2 life sentences means 2 life sentences! It doesn’t mean parole after 16 years or after any time at all. It means life in prison forever.

@maggienova7 If it's Oregon, you can expect that he will not receive any justice at all. Especially because he's white. People don't want to hear this, but the facts are the facts. White people receive far less justice from our so-called justice system than any other race.

Someone that does that can’t be rehabilitated. There should be accountability for these judges that let these people back on the streets. When I was a bartender, I was held responsible for the people I served alcohol.

@mrollins1952 NO child rapist or child sexual abuser should be paroled. Life without parole is too good and we used to have the death penalty for a good reason. They do NOT change.

The sacred duty as a father - falls to him directly. If he shirks it - he shall live with the weight of that shame.

It's almost as if those in charge do this knowing that violent criminals will re-offend before too long, and every cog in the legal industry will get another round of "free" money, especially all the lawyers, paid for by the general public. The lawyers then recycle some of that money into political donations to the campaigns of the politicians who ensure the gravy train keeps rolling. The criminals are just a commodity, the victims are just acceptable collateral damage.

Good plan! Work real hard to make sure that you act like you want him not released, Knowing damn well that the Democrats will release him. That way when he turns up missing a week after he hits the streets, people don't suspect you quite as much

If this guy gets out and isn’t “disappeared” by someone (not Mr Dwight, he has been through enough) in less than 24 hours I am going to be extremely disappointed.

To all the men serving life in prison...deal with this bad guy for us civilians, prevent the need for his release
