First interview with new Reform leader in Scotland was a bit unusual… We asked if he’d repeat his party’s campaign claim that Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar had said he would prioritise the Pakistani community. Other politicians condemned it. What about Malcom Offord? Reform, of course, pride themselves as being the party of free speech.

After Scotland’s First Leader Humza Yousaf announced his resignation today, his replacement could be even worse. Anas Sarwar, the leader of the Labour Party, has been rising in the polls and should a snap election be called may have a chance of winning. Sarwar previously gave a near identical speech to Yousaf lambasting Scotland for being too white. The Labour politician said if he was to be elected First Minister he would include misogyny in the new Hate Crime law. His party have also said they would not repeal the new law, despite its deep unpopularity for allowing transgender males to report misgendering as a ‘Hate Crime.’ According to polling by Redfield and Wilton Strategies conducted in March, 32% of respondents think Sarwar would make a better first minister, compared with 31 per cent for Yousaf.
