You're forgetting that also newer homes have a fresh air intake duct that literally pulls air from outside and mixes it with the air going through the HVAC system. Please at least know what you're talking about. Sure older homes do not have this. Which would be relevant there

You can get a co2 meter on amazon for like $10. Good to have. Also your car is a much smaller space and if you're in there for a few hours you can feel the difference when you roll down the windows or switch the ac to fresh air.

Keep house plants like the snake plant to help clean up your home . They're pretty hardy low light and don't need a lot of water put one in each room

“They’re making all the homes today super air tight” No they are not. I ran energy audits in Colorado doing blower door testing on new homes. Quit lying. 🤥

Read the standards of The American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). They cover this for all types buildings.

Fiddle fig, snake plants, and plants like various monstera help circulate fresh oxygen throughout your home. Allegedly snake plants work best.

In Germany we do something called “Stoßlüften” which translates to “shock ventilation”. It basically requires you to open all the windows in a room for a couple of minutes to exchange air and then you close ‘em again. Obviously this is done more often in cool conditions

Interesting because old homes have air vents and now mould is more common, then you have to buy synthetic moisture absorbers. I always open my windows even a little in winter
