Ancient Egyptian Stone Artifact. 5500+ years old! Lip deviation from perfect roundness is 1.5/1000ths of 1 inch, 2200+ years prior to the lathe. Excellent provenance goes back to right when the step pyramid was excavated. Stunning and unique handles. More to come on these 2025!

Honestly I think you're going to go down in history is one of the most significant individuals in showing / providing the pathway to understanding the real difference in how we date things.

It's amazing what you can get done with copper chissels and stone hammers. If there's any difficulties, well, just add more people!

You only make something like this if a) you have to (make it to spec) and/or b) you don't know how to make it any other way.

The Ancient #Egyptians had #Stone drills and that is effectively the same thing as a lathe (or potters wheel). Wood artefacts do not survive as long as stone but we do have hard evidence they used this technology.
