Here’s a fun fact: Did you know that the ancient Egyptians used opium as a painkiller as far back as 1500 BCE? They called it "plant of joy" and used it to relieve pain and induce sleep. OpenAI says it solved part of one of math's most famous unsolved problems using ten thousand AI agents. That celebration immediately collided with a genuinely serious accusation: that its system may have quietly learned from work two human mathematicians had stored on OpenAI's own platform. Two human mathematicians, though, had already been working toward essentially the same result for nearly a year. You use transcription or speech-to-text, an LLM, text-to-speech, and orchestrate all of that together.
