If people are curious about other cool examples of Mesoamerican (Aztec, Maya etc) engineering achievements, I list some here: here: here: and here: Plus I link to many other posts on Mesoamerican history and archeology here:

No they didn't. The shadow comes from the edges of the pyramid and since they are all rectangular, this shadow formes automatically.

I was inside the one at Chichen Itza; is this it? Believe me, the steps going all the way up inside are MUCH scarier than the ones outside.

These features are re-built without any references.

Except it wasn't built by ancients. It was 'reconstructed' by scientists. There was a pile of rumble. They tried to put it back together and it fell apart so they built it. Look it up.

The Catholic Church burned their Holy Books and killed their High Priests. Why? They did that everywhere they went to control everyone. They also did that to the Hungarian Religion after they took over Hungary in 1000 AD. Google it now.. shame on the Catholic Church of Rome. 🕎

Yeah right, Mayans did that? The people that were conquered by like 4 Spaniards on horseback? I don't think so. Watch history reveal it was whites; maybe Nephilim.

They probably figured it out using a couple of sticks. The earths rotation is consistent and since they had a calendar, it probably just seemed logical to build their structures around the sun. They were also likely more intelligent than the people of the modern era, as they actually had to use their brains instead of smartphones.

When I was 12, my family and I went in that door and walked up the narrow stairway to see the red jaguar from the older temple. That was 1992. I can picture it like it was yesterday.

The Maya did not build them; older civilizations did. The Maya inherited and adapted knowledge from earlier cultures.

I read somewhere they would sacrifice people at the top of the pyramid and let the head roll down the stairs. Real sick shit.

El Castillo was in ruins & overgrown when rediscovered. In the 1920s–30s, archaeologists (Carnegie Institution + Mexican gov’t) cleared debris and restored damaged staircases + two faces using new limestone blocks where originals were looted/missing. The pyramid’s core geometry, cardinal alignment, and equinox serpent shadow effect were intentionally engineered by the ancient Maya ~900–1200 AD, the restoration simply preserved that original design.
