My take on Halloween 3: 1- The people blasting it because it doesn't have Michael Myers should open their mind a little 2- The idea of the Halloween franchise becoming an anthology franchise of Halloween-themed movies would have been great rather than what came after 3- Halloween 3, on its own merit, is so-so only. It's got the atmosphere, but the plot is weird. Why is an old druid who wants to resurrect the old tradition using robots to do his dirty deed? If you take an old magic theme to the villain, play it consistently. 4- Halloween 3 is often over-rated because it tends to be ranked very high when people rank the movies of the Halloween franchise, because it's different and there's so much crap in the franchise (5, 6, Resurrection, the Rob Zombie remake and sequel, Kills and Ends) that it ends up high in the ranking BY DEFAULT.

Anyway, I don't consider Halloween 3 to be a great horror film either, but the TV chant, masks, and ending are all ironic.

I love Joe Bob Briggs and respect his opinion greatly, but he's wrong on Halloween 3 Season of The Witch. It originally is what John Carpenter intended for the Halloween series to be a bunch of separate anthology movies. It's great on its own, and very relevant to today.

What's with the crazy editing?? I had to just listen to it and not watch it. VERY distracting! Joe Bob is very interesting. Nothing else is needed to keep me watching!

I remember that night on The Last Drive-In when Tom Atkins called in a threatened to kick Joe Bob's ass. Lol
