Agreed, but I think people would be less emboldened to commit such assault if they had the realistic concern that the person they are attacking might be carrying a firearm.

No body would do this where I grew up. Dads with their kids would walk around Walmart carrying & people would dine at restaurants with their sidepeace. I never felt once uncomfortable, even being a waitress at 16, seeing someone carrying. Honestly I don’t even notice it….

Let's see, violent person attacks you while shouting. You try to create distance and leave the area. Violent person pursues and begins to attack you more. I'm no lawyer, but im pretty sure you have a solid argument of self defense to put 3 in his chest at that point.

It is so sad that it has come down to this.

The right to self defense is the most fundamental human right. You can't drink water, eat, or have shelter if you're dead.

This video should have resulted in about two swings of the traffic cone, three bangs, and one “neutralized” assaulter on the ground laying next to the dropped cone.

Why does no one fighting back against these thugs.

I am all for the 2nd amendment, but come on...doesn't anyone know how to defend themselves anymore? I've had much worse encounters, and dealt with them without any weapons. If someone tries to harm you in any way, you have a right to defend yourself. Weak men are a huge problem.
