I don’t want to speak ill of anyone, but perhaps it was utter disinterest in the collab? Tho if that was the case I don’t know why she agreed to do it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Honestly my biggest issue with it is BECAUSE I know she is a great musician in general - so it makes the flaws even stronger because you would expect better. Like if someone I had never heard of did it - still wouldn't be a *good* song but I would be less critical

She did not take it seriously. That's it.

Her voice is so unique that it isn't really one for being in the background. That's the main issue in that it seems like she is trying to overpower ON with the choir and the band and that's the wrong choice that was made.

I don't even listen to that version, but she sounded like she didn't take it seriously, and it's just another song for work.

Probably because she didn't write the song, she just had to sing it and maybe she wasn't too excited about it. Maybe if she co wrote it, it would've had more of her essence? idk.

i can't find the more recent twt he made about it but sleep deez is so funny when he bring this remix up loool. it's so tragic bc she's talented vocally but something went wrong in that recording
