One thing I don’t really understand. Does he even need to eat, or seek shelter from the elements, after he became sand? Does he age? If not, he could literally just serve his sentence, take a random job doing photo shoots or beach birthdays or something, and save up all the money in an investment account. Give it a few decades, maybe a century, and then enjoy a few thousand years as a millionaire. The man doesn’t need prison, he needs patience and basic financial education.

I do also enjoy seeing Flint being a good guy to add layers to him.
