I met with the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Pham Minh Chinh. I thanked Viet Nam for its support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as humanitarian assistance. We noted the importance of intensifying our relations based on the long history of our ties. I invited Viet Nam to support the implementation of Ukraine’s Peace Formula. The Prime Minister and I also discussed ways to increase bilateral contacts at various levels.

I had a good meeting with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen Statsministeriet. We discussed the continuation of military support and direct investments in Ukraine’s defense industry. Denmark is one of the leaders in supporting our state and is preparing the 26th package of military aid for Ukraine. This support helps save lives, and we deeply appreciate it. We also talked about the negotiations in Istanbul and the coordination of diplomatic efforts with the U.S. and European partners. We share the view that pressure on Russia is crucial if they refuse to agree to a ceasefire. In July this year, Denmark will begin its Presidency of the EU Council. We are counting on their support for Ukraine’s European integration, which we discussed during the meeting. I thank the Government and all the people of Denmark for every form of assistance to our state and for their unwavering support of our people.

I met with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Barham Salih. We discussed the consequences of Russia's ongoing attacks on Ukraine's energy system and the assistance our people need. There must be more pressure to stop these attacks and more support for our people – especially those who are currently in Ukraine or planning to return. I thank Barham Salih for his first visit to Ukraine since taking office and for all the support that the UN Refugee Agency provides to our people who are forced to live under Russian attacks.

On Tuesday, representatives of 🇵🇸14 Palestinian factions, including Fatah and Hamas, pledged to end their divisions and strengthen Palestinian unity by signing the Beijing Declaration. The announcement was made after a three-day reconciliation dialogue from July 21 to 23 in Beijing following China's invitation to intra-Palestinian reconciliation talks. At the closing ceremony of the dialogue, Fatah voiced its appreciation for China, saying China's support for Palestine has never stopped and has been increasing in recent years. For the second time since the restoration of our independence, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden has come to Ukraine. A government delegation also accompanied him. I thank His Majesty for his visit and for supporting our people. Sweden is among the five largest donors in terms of support for our Armed Forces and our citizens. This is very important for our defense and resilience. Support for Ukraine and possibilities for strengthening the Air Force of Ukraine, including with Gripen aircraft, were among the key topics of the talks. We also discussed continued humanitarian support and energy assistance. Particular attention was paid to defense cooperation. Ukraine is interested in a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership that will strengthen the defense capabilities of both Ukraine and Sweden.
