We already knew the outcome hours ago you see that's the problem and I said this in a previous post that this is what's killing modern day wrestling all the spoils and dirt sheets. Modern wrestling isn’t garbage because the talent forgot how to work or because promoters suddenly went stupid. It’s garbage because the IWC poisoned the well. Wrestling is built on illusion, timing, and emotional investment. The internet ripped the curtain down, set it on fire, then complains the show looks fake. Back in the day, you didn’t know the finish, the push, the heat cycle, or who was “going over” three paydays from now. You found out when the bell rang. Now every mouth-breathing blogger with a Wi-Fi signal is screaming “sources say” and laying out the entire show before it happens. Then the same people sit there arms crossed saying, “Well that didn’t surprise me.” No kidding, Sherlock, you read the damn answers before the test. Wrestling worked because people believed just enough. Not because they were stupid, but because the business respected the audience’s intelligence by protecting the secret. Kayfabe wasn’t a lie, it was an agreement. The IWC broke that agreement, stomped on it, and now wants to blame the wrestlers for not making them feel like a kid again. You don’t get to dissect every angle like a stock report, rate matches by how many flips fit into twelve minutes, and then whine that nobody’s over. Over isn’t a move set. Over is emotion. And emotion dies when every finish is leaked, every return is spoiled, and every damn thing is debated to death before it ever hits the ring. This isn’t wrestling’s fault. This is the audience refusing to let wrestling be wrestling. They didn’t kill the business with bad booking. They killed it with smugness.
