He is a 12 year old and already thinks outside the box, handles himself and di escalates properly. If he faced korras enemies I promised he’ll be able to find way easier ways to solve the issues.

This is a poor example of Aang abilities vs Korra's, though. He's acting on a plan made by Sokka and everything else can be done by any other avatar. True Azula is a force to be reckoned with, but any Avatar can take her down if they so please.
