When you said “this side has a military and militia , while this side has pitchforks and slingshots” that’s how I feel about the fighting going on in the Middle East. One side has fighter jets and tanks while the other side has keeps and on foot. It’s not a fair fight.

I get the correlation you're going after, but the human social condition is much different between then and now. To simply look at it as oppressor vs the oppressed leads to a false equivalency. It's complex and will take time to undue the decades of strife. Just like slavery.
