Not every doctor chooses to prescribe HRT to trans individuals, most don’t and have a specialist manage this. If this person has a right to transition, why doesn’t a doctor have a right to refer patients for something they’re not trained in? You would think the patient would want that but trans wants everyone in the world to bend to their will. Narcissists, all of them.

So...the doctor is ethical, telling her that the kind of care she wants isn't available here, and our pierced friend has a small tantrum. These folks really believe that everyone, everywhere is supposed to do what they want, they way that they want it done, at the very second they want it. It's so very 'toddler'.

It shows the state of their mental health that they want a doctor to prescribe something that they aren't qualified to prescribe. The doctor is being sensible. Why should a doctor spend time and money on a course of education that they may only ever need for one patient?

She looks like she needs psychiatrist.. My primary doctor is a functional medicine doctor and she doesn’t prescribe psych drugs or opioids.. that’s not her denying HC, that’s her having a medical practice that excludes areas of medicine that she doesn’t practice.

This woman is noticeable mentally unwell and didn't realize that the doctor may have simply made the choice to not take her on as a patient because of it. Even doctors get trans fatigue.

@Beanst_ii How can anyone look at this woman & not see someone who is deeply unwell, & maintain that transness is not a mental illness? Transness is a co-morbidity & a cluster illness. Where you find it, you find a plethora of other mental illness issues. Trans is a mental illness.

Doctors have the right to run their medical practices as they see fit. Before retiring, I practiced Family Medicine and opted not to deliver babies. Per this individual, I should have been forced to deliver babies.

I think doctors do have a choice when it comes to what they prescribe. When I was a kid I needed to find a new doctor and several of them would not prescribe adhd medication because I assume they didn’t want to deal with people that just want to abuse the drug.
