We used to just hold on to the bumper. It's call SKITCHING. You have to time it to leap after a moving car, but not fall under the wheels, which would suck. Oh yeah, the drivers were not party to the sport, they just happened by. A lot of them really didn't like it.

We called that 'Skitching' in Chicago. If you were brave enough you would do that on a squad car. A variation of that not in the snow is grabbing a bumper while skateboarding - like Marty McFly in Back to the Future around the town square....
