BREAKING: Huge numbers of Al-Qaeda in Mali (JNIM) terrorists are flooding into the city of Sevare. The city of 40,000 people is located 10 km from the larger city of Mopti (70 000 people). The two cities form a vital transport and logistics hub which sits on the main east-west route connecting Gao and Timbuktu with Ségou and the capital Bamako to the southwest. It also provides access southward toward Bandiagara and Burkina Faso. Sevare used house the military headquarters of the G5 Sahel Joint Force which was later used by Malian forces and the Russian Africa Corps.

I've been a part of the military community for 31 years now. I've served as a Force Recon Marine and DoD contractor with 8 departments to Afghanistan as part of a JSOC Task Force, I founded one of the most impactful VSOs - Mighty Oaks - severing over a 1/2 a million service members, I've led humanitarian rescue operations around the globe in collaboration with the pentagon, JSOC, and other government agencies. And with all that, I absolutely believe Pete Hegseth is the right choice for SecDef at this moment in history. Our military is strategically capable, but it's hurting in the areas of moral, recruitment, and retention - the 3 biggest threats to our national security. We need a leader from outside of the institution to come in and systematically reform our military in these areas. It is essential to the war fighting culture, capability, and our national defense. Pete has demonstrated a vision and plan to do just that. He is the right choice for this moment in history and I am asking our military community and my fellow Americans to share this and show your support for Pete Hegseth to lead our military back to the focus of national defense as our new SecDef.
