Hi Spain 🇪🇸👋 It turns out Spain (Andalusia) is also occupied Muslim land, and must be freed. Good luck with that.

Significant flooding in Seville, Andalusia, Spain today as torrential rain flooded streets and overwhelmed the city. Events like this are becoming more frequent and intense across Spain and Europe, with human-caused climate change making heavy downpours both more likely and more severe.

Poem written by Lisan al-Din ibn al-Khatib Al-Gharnati Al-Andalusi (born 1313 - died 1374). He was a poet, a philosopher, wazir, and author from #Granada and a contemporary of the historian and the actual founder of sociology, Ibn Khaldun. In this poem, he expresses his feelings about the fall of his homeland, Andalusia. If you visit the Alhambra (قصر الحمراء) in Granada, Spain, you will see his poetry adorning the walls of this iconic monument.

Spain is ripping out centuries-old olive groves for solar farms. In Andalusia, trees that took decades to reach maturity are being uprooted for panel arrays. This is a direct land-for-energy trade. 26 terawatt-hours of output from solar requires roughly 130,000 acres, whereas a modern nuclear plant would deliver that same power using just 430 acres. That is a land gap approaching 300 to 1 (and wind farms are even worse). Solar's footprint is not just panels. It is roads, fencing, substations, transmission lines and backup systems. Spain has already stress-tested a high renewables grid. In April 2025, a nationwide blackout followed low grid inertia and heavy reliance on inverter-based generation. The Spanish government is doubling down on this failure.
