When I was in kindergarten, my best friend's dad was a widower who used to take his son and sometimes me with him everywhere. On Sundays we went to Maple Leaf Gardens to see the OGs Andre the Giant, Angelo Mosca, Jimmy Snuka, Gorilla Monsoon, etc. throw each other around the ring. They were truly gargantuans among men, especially when you were only five years old. I remember Andre thundering by me on his way to the ring once and I could literally hide behind his calf like the trunk of a tree.

Letterman was an alcoholic himself, so it's ironic that he liked needling guests about their drinking habits, something he did often. Total prick whose success I don't get.
