Andrew Miller says the narrative that baseball has a dynasty problem because there's no salary cap is entirely false. "A salary cap is a chance for the owners to limit their labor costs."

There needs to be a cap and a floor. It’s pretty hard to take a player or owner seriously in these talks bc they both have themselves in mind. Not the fans.

He’s right. Every. MLB owner can spend. Most choose not to. The fans whining about the Dodgers should be banging their front office people and not hanging out on X if they’re that concerned.

Without a salary cap Patrick Mahomes doesn’t stay in KC.

what dynasty problem? 🤔

2024 LA, NYY, NYM, CLE. 2023 TX, AZ, HOU, PHI. 2022 HOU, PHI, SDP, NYY 2021 ATL, HOU, LA, BOS 7 Different teams at least in the final four in the past four years. Only two teams have gone to champions games in back to back years in the past four. I think we’re just fine..

salary floor is the answer

There needs to be real profit sharing. It’s 1 league and its needs 30 strong franchises not 4. It’s how the Green Bay Packers exist and flourish. It’s got a population of 107,000 people while Metropolitan Milwaukee only has 1.7M. Not close to NYC or Chicago. NFL has it right.

Patriots and chiefs…what about the NFC? Also, that sports success is critically incumbent on the QBs talent….the rules have set that up. Good QB, good coach…you win. This is apples to oranges…IMO

“Dynasty problem” in a sport that hasn’t had a repeat champion in 24 years and counting
