When a coach has health complications they are given grace by the media and the public because they are understanding of what they are fighting through. Deion Sanders he’s not been afforded that same empathy at Colorado this year. Despite being diagnosed with cancer, having his bladder removed and having a procedure in the middle of the season to alleviate blood clots, the tear downs of the man and his program have been relentless. The X’s and the O’s have to improve, but we can’t forget the human element of what has happened in Deion Sanders life this year. Coach Prime’s story was never meant to be perfect. It was meant to be powerful. And powerful it has been. With his Son’s not playing at Colorado, Coach Prime could have easily said, I’m done. I’ve had some health issues, Shedeur is in a bad situation in Cleveland, Shilo isn’t on a NFL roster and this just isn’t worth it anymore. But he didn’t because he made a commitment to every kid in his program and their parents that he was dedicated to building them into a complete man on and off the field. So at 3-6. Bill Maher gets absolutely SCHOOLED by Senator John Kennedy on immigration reform — Kennedy said it’s not only illegal immigration, it’s LEGAL immigration that needs fixing. And the number he dropped at the end caused Maher to do a double take. He was out of his depth. MAHER: “Okay. So he [Trump] made his point. He is the tough guy.” “It gives him the opportunity now to be the guy who says, okay, I’m actually going to do comprehensive immigration reform because this is been…how long have you been in the Senate?” KENNEDY: “10 years…in dog years that’s about 70.” MAHER: “Why couldn’t Trump be the one to get this done? You talk to him, I bet you could put that bee in his bonnet.” KENNEDY: “You know what the real answer is? The real answer is immigration reform. Through the last week of negotiations, I’ve been saying to our school district, our educators, and our parents that I want our kids to be in school on Monday. The conversations were productive yesterday, continuing well into the night, but it appears that now, work has ended for the evening, and our public schools will be closed tomorrow. I’m disappointed that the parties could not come to an agreement. And frankly, I’m frustrated—real progress has been made, and there are hours left in the day that should be spent working to keep schools open tomorrow. There is no reason both parties can’t be at the table right now figuring this out. These are complex and important negotiations. That’s why I, and other city leaders, asked both parties this morning to allow three additional days for schools to stay open while conversations continue. I have made myself and my office available to both parties at any time. I have been here all day, and I will stay as long as it takes to get this done—but I am continuing to urge the parties to reach an agreement as soon as possible. At the same time, our team has been preparing for this scenario all week. The city is ready to provide support to public school students. That includes meal distribution for students who rely on school for food access, extra hours at community childcare centers and Rec and Park programs, and community safety resources to keep kids safe if they’re not in school. If your family is impacted by school closures, please check in with your childcare or afterschool programs to see if they have extended hours. Local public libraries are also open as normal—but remember: children under 8 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. For resources and information, visit San Franciscans deserve schools where students thrive and our educators feel truly supported. I am disappointed that the parties couldn’t reach an agreement today, but I will continue to do whatever I can to keep the adults talking so our kids can keep learning. And I have talked to the leaders on both sides, I am confident that if they come back to the table and stay there, they can get this done quickly.

Today, we’re announcing the first major discovery made by our AI Scientist with the lab in the loop: a promising new treatment for dry AMD, a major cause of blindness. Our agents generated the hypotheses, designed the experiments, analyzed the data, iterated, even made figures for the paper. The resulting manuscript is a first-of-a-kind in the natural sciences, in which everything that needed to be done to write the paper was done by AI agents, apart from actually conducting the physical experiments in the lab and writing the final manuscript. We are also introducing Robin, the first multi-agent system that fully automates the in-silico components of scientific discovery, which made this discovery. This is the first time that we are aware of that hypothesis generation, experimentation, and data analysis have been joined up in closed loop, and is the beginning of a massive acceleration in the pace of scientific discovery that will be driven by these agents. We will be open-sourcing the code and data next week. Robin is a multi-agent system that uses Crow, Falcon, and Finch, the agents on our platform, to generate novel hypotheses, plan experiments, and analyze data. We asked Robin to find a new treatment for dry age-related macular degeneration. Robin considered the disease mechanisms associated with dry AMD, proposed a specific experimental assay that could be used to evaluate hypotheses in the wet lab, and proposed specific molecules we could test in that assay. We tested the molecules and gave it the resulting data, which it analyzed before proposing more experiments. In the end, it identified Ripasudil, a Rho Kinase inhibitor (ROCK inhibitor) that is approved in Japan for several other diseases, which seems very promising as potential treatment for dry AMD. It also identified specific molecular mechanisms that might underlie the effects of Ripasudil in RPE cells, from an RNA sequencing experiment it proposed. To be clear, no one has proposed using ROCK inhibitors to treat dry AMD in the literature before, as far as we can find, and I think it would have been very difficult for us to come up with this hypothesis without the agents. We have also run the proposed treatment by several experts in AMD, who confirm that it is interesting and novel. Moreover, this project was fast: with Robin in hand, the entire project took about 10 weeks, which is way shorter than it would have taken if we had been doing all of the in-silico components ourselves. Important caveats: We are real biologists at FutureHouse, so I want to be clear that although the discovery here is exciting, we are not claiming that we have cured dry AMD. Fully validating this hypothesis as a treatment for dry AMD will take human trials, which will take much longer. Also, this discovery is cool, but it is not yet a "move 37"-style discovery. At the current rate of progress, I'm sure we will get to that level soon. Congratulations to the team. This is psychotic behavior. It’s not just malignant narcissism and dementia. He has lost contact with the objective world and expects everyone to live in his alternate reality with him. It’s all manufactured by his own psyche and no amount of evidence will change it. This is a terrified inner psyche constructing a protective world. He’s insane and existentially dangerous. “Jeanine Pirro made a mistake. It was vandalism. I just told you we did, I think, 78. One of the things was to reflecting pool, hasn’t worked since 1922, because it always leaked. It always leaked from 1922. You know, it's the largest longest pool ever, all that. The concept is beautiful, but it always leaked because of the size, because of maintenance, whatever. But it was built in 1922, and from the day it was built, it like, Biden spent $58 million. Barack Hussein Obama spent much more than that. He said, "I have an idea. Let's take the river from, let's take the water from the Potomac." So they took the water from the Potomac, and it was putrid. It was putrid. It was a disaster. Biden was a disaster. I said, "I'm going to get that face." Along with Doug Burgum, Department of Interior, and we worked harder than that. Now we worked harder in all '70s. It's actually, I think, '81 now. You saw the new horses that just opened by the bridge with the gold. That was the way they were many years ago. Now they looked better than they did many years ago. But these monuments looked better than they did when they were originally built. Not just a little fix up. We made them the way they were plus, and everyone's so proud. The biggest, one of the bigger jobs was not really the biggest, believe it or not, but one of the biggest was the reflecting pool. And we did a great job. We sandblasted the stonehouse at his granite, so it has a long life. We did a great job. We got very expensive material to put on top of the surface that always leaked, because it was stone. It was a stone, sir. Always leaked. And we put it on, and it was beautiful. Now we have photographs of tapes, like moving cameras, right? We have them where people are on the side, cutting it with a box knife. So now I'm not saying I was 100% thrilled with the contractor, but the contractor was rushing. We wanted to get it open for July 4th. And we got it done. But in addition, there was mandalism. Number one, look at the grass, where the grass was all knocked out with a very powerful ingredient. We know very well what it is. But like I say, the name, because people get ideas. But they put a terrible phrase, I won't say that either, but a terrible phrase, on a massive piece of grass that we had just replaced. Kill the grass. We had to replace the grass. A lot of grass. In addition, they took knives or cutters, and they cut the material. And they put their hands and they pulled it. And there was also some maintenance things that we would have routinely fixed. But we had that up, and it was perfect. And then you had the bubblers, which get rid of what forms in the water. And that works great, but they turned it up because of the fight. Because it competed a little bit of noise during the fight. They turned it off, and it grows very rapidly in the water. But that actually works very well. And that's all. So now we're just about set to reopen it. And we had to replace cut areas where they cut it and ripped it. But there's a tape. And Jesse Wooders, by the way, did a whole big thing on it. There's a tape that's out there that I posted on truth. Where you have people leaning over the side, the weakest part, because of the flexibility. You know it moves. It's very complicated. It moves. And the softest part has to be flexible. And that's the stuff you can cut. And these guys knew what they were doing. And they cut all the way along the base, cut, cut, cut. But these monuments looked better than they did when they were originally built. Not just a little fix up. We made them the way they were plus, and everyone's so proud. We sandblasted the stonehouse at his granite, so it has a long life. We did a great job. We got very expensive material to put on top of the surface that always leaked, because it was stone. It was a stone, sir. Always leaked. And we put it on, and it was beautiful. Now we have photographs of tapes, like moving cameras, right? We have them where people are on the side, cutting it with a box knife. So now I'm not saying I was 100% thrilled with the contractor, but the contractor was rushing. We wanted to get it open for July 4th. And we got it done. But in addition, there was mandalism. Number one, look at the grass, where the grass was all knocked out with a very powerful ingredient. We know very well what it is. But like I say, the name, because people get ideas. But they put a terrible phrase, I won't say that either, but a terrible phrase, on a massive piece of grass that we had just replaced. Kill the grass. We had to replace the grass. A lot of grass. In addition, they took knives or cutters, and they cut the material. And they put their hands and they pulled it. And there was also some maintenance things that we would have routinely fixed. But we had that up, and it was perfect. And then you had the bubblers, which get rid of what forms in the water. And that works great, but they turned it up because of the fight. Because it competed a little bit of noise during the fight. They turned it off, and it grows very rapidly in the water. But that actually works very well. And that's all. So now we're just about set to reopen it. And we had to replace cut areas where they cut it and ripped it. But there's a tape. And Jesse Wooders, by the way, did a whole big thing on it. There's a tape that's out there that I posted on truth. Where you have people leaning over the side, the weakest part, because of the flexibility. You know it moves. It's very complicated. It moves. And the softest part has to be flexible. And that's the stuff you can cut. And these guys knew what they were doing. And they cut all the way along the base, cut, cut, cut. Dear Pioneers, Today, I decided to share this message with you because when I searched online, I noticed something very important. Many exchange markets already know that the Pi Network has GCV — Global Consensus Value. They even acknowledge that this value is community-driven. PRESS STATEMENT RE: SULEIMON OLUFEMI IN SAUDI ARABIA DEATH ROW, SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT It has come to the notice of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) an open letter published in some Nigerian newspapers by Amnesty International and addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the case of Suleimon Olufemi who has been on death row in Saudi Arabia for more than 20 years. Though on the surface, Amnesty International purports to be fighting for his release , it deliberately left out some facts. Here are the facts: Suleimon Olufemi left Nigeria for lesser Hajj (Umra) in Saudi Arabia and decided to check on a friend in Jeddah where there was an incident where a police officer was killed and he was arrested amongst those in the vicinity for murder. Unfortunately for him, while some got prison sentences, he got a death sentence. With the legal age of the child of the policeman that was killed now over 18 years, the family could decide to pardon him or hold on to the death sentence. After a series of diplomatic interventions, and several meetings with the family which included NiDCOM’s former Legal Director, (Barrister Abdullahi Bello), they insisted Suleimon Olufemi. must pay blood money (Diyya) to the tune of $570, OOO dollars. This was about three and a half years ago and Amnesty International was no where to be found then, when we approached them to collaborate to raise the funds required since they had also shown interest in the case. In any case , NIDCOM, in conjunction with the Association of Nigerians in Saudi Arabia, championed by the Yaro brothers raised the $570, OOO dollars which has been paid into an account opened specifically for this purpose with financial support from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and Seyi Tinubu, who contributed about $150,000 dollars while the rest was raised through go fund me initiated by the Yaro brothers. (This was under President Mohammadu Buhari’s tenure). Now, the money has been paid. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigeria Embassy in Saudi Arabia have been engaging the Saudi Authorities on when Suleimon Olufemi will be released. With the funds raised and diplomatic moves being made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs who has also briefed Mr President , we are optimistic that the Saudi Authorities will pardon Suleimon Olufemi who has been in jail for well over 20 years now for an offence that really cannot be proven that he committed He apparently was in a wrong place at a wrong time. We appreciate the role of Amnesty International but we also encourage Amnesty to be factual and not just be self seeking in this pathetic case. The NIDCOM Chairman has been in touch with the Sulaimon Olufemi family wherein she received the aged parents on December 30, 2020 in NIDCOM office in Lagos. We appeal to the Saudi Arabia Authorities to release Suleimon Olufemi from prison having paid the imposed blood money in the spirit of fairness, justice and cordial diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Here are the facts: Suleimon Olufemi left Nigeria for lesser Hajj (Umra) in Saudi Arabia and decided to check on a friend in Jeddah where there was an incident where a police officer was killed and he was arrested amongst those in the vicinity for murder. Unfortunately for him, while some got prison sentences, he got a death sentence. With the legal age of the child of the policeman that was killed now over 18 years, the family could decide to pardon him or hold on to the death sentence. After a series of diplomatic interventions, and several meetings with the family which included NiDCOM’s former Legal Director, (Barrister Abdullahi Bello), they insisted Suleimon Olufemi. must pay blood money (Diyya) to the tune of $570, OOO dollars. This was about three and a half years ago and Amnesty International was no where to be found then, when we approached them to collaborate to raise the funds required since they had also shown interest in the case. In any case , NIDCOM, in conjunction with the Association of Nigerians in Saudi Arabia, championed by the Yaro brothers raised the $570, OOO dollars which has been paid into an account opened specifically for this purpose with financial support from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and Seyi Tinubu, who contributed about $150,000 dollars while the rest was raised through go fund me initiated by the Yaro brothers. (This was under President Mohammadu Buhari’s tenure). Now, the money has been paid. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigeria Embassy in Saudi Arabia have been engaging the Saudi Authorities on when Suleimon Olufemi will be released. With the funds raised and diplomatic moves being made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs who has also briefed Mr President , we are optimistic that the Saudi Authorities will pardon Suleimon Olufemi who has been in jail for well over 20 years now for an offence that really cannot be proven that he committed He apparently was in a wrong place at a wrong time. We appreciate the role of Amnesty International but we also encourage Amnesty to be factual and not just be self seeking in this pathetic case. The NIDCOM Chairman has been in touch with the Sulaimon Olufemi family wherein she received the aged parents on December 30, 2020 in NIDCOM office in Lagos. We appeal to the Saudi Arabia Authorities to release Suleimon Olufemi from prison having paid the imposed blood money in the spirit of fairness, justice and cordial diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Grateful for the outpouring the past few days. I can’t tell you how motivating it is to have people care so much about Arc. The encouragement, the criticism, the confusion. Took it all in <3 As a thank you, I’d like to speak more plainly about what’s happening and why – we owe it to you: 1. Every person who joined or invested in our company did so to build products beloved by hundreds of millions of people. “We want to be to the browser what the iPhone was to the cellphone” has been our rallying cry since Day One. We knew chance of success was low but the ambition made us leap out of bed every morning. 2. Arc is beloved, popular, and growing (4x daily actives YoY). But it’s now clear that what most people love about the product *is also* what will prevent it from reaching hundreds of millions of people in our target demographic (people who spend hours in their browsers each day for their livelihood). Arc is a niche browser, even if we did not intend for it to be so. 3. Luckily, we architected this company – from company name to investors and technical architecture – to support multiple products since Day One. See Arc Search. Our favorite brands have multiple product lines in the same category too (Apple, Nike, Disney). Hence our realization: why keep trying to make Arc something it is not? Nobody who loved Arc wanted Arc Max. Arc members just want it to be more stable, secure, and performant. “Let’s just do that!” 4. With Arc as our beloved but niche browser #1, we asked ourselves a simple question: if we founded the company TODAY (in 2024), with everything that we know, what would the browser of the future look like for hundreds of millions of people? Let’s go build *that* product, alongside Arc. A second browser that is easier to use, more focused, and more powerful. All in order to live up to our founding mission (#1 above). 5. Yet none of this would’ve happened if it weren’t for the timing (market timing is most underrated startup ingredient). Mark my words: the Web is going to dramatically change in 2025 – much more than we all appreciate. Crazy new AI & computer-use models are incoming. I promise you that new browsers will be the story of 2025 (The Browser Company aside). Why? The browser layer is the obvious epicenter of AI & Agents because of its unique context, cookies, & apps. 6. To build a breakthrough consumer product (#1) – like truly breakthrough – you need a catalyzing innovation or technology. AI will be that for the next era of browsers, whether we win or someone else does. So why us (other than Arc is niche)? Our belief is that not only do you need the browser layer to win, but “the hard part” is nailing the interface, the interactions, the storytelling. That’s our bread & butter. That’s the expertise of our team. Now you can see how these puzzle pieces fit together… We built something people love (in Arc) and we intend to stick by it. But we also won’t lose sight of why our team poured so much blood, sweat and tears over the past 4 years into this company: the mission to build a new interface to the internet used by hundreds of millions of people every day. It truly feels like the moment we were waiting for is here and we won’t miss it. Everything we’ve done up until this point was for this type of window, even if we couldn’t have predicted it would play out exactly this way. We’re hopeful that more of you will understand why we’re building this second product soon. I feel confident you will once we can show you more of what we’re dreaming up, and once more of the things we’ve heard and seen in the industry reveal themselves soon. From Creator to Founder: The Rollercoaster Journey of Building Chatter Social Man, what a journey it’s been so far. Four years ago, I was just another creator, spending late nights on Clubhouse during the height of the pandemic. Like so many others, I was searching for connection, for community, for something meaningful. But what I found there wasn’t just connection—it was purpose. Alongside my brother, Jonathan Bing, we built a nightly show that reached over 5 million people. Imagine that: 5 million lives touched by conversations that felt real and unfiltered, all on a platform that at its peak had 10 million monthly active users. Clubhouse was magic. But then the decline began. Watching the platform struggle, I couldn’t help but reflect: what made it great? What went wrong? And what could the future look like if we did things differently? The Spark of Chatter As a content creator, I understood the needs of both creators and users. I knew what excited people, what kept them engaged, and what made them leave. Clubhouse had tapped into something special, but it had missed the mark on scalability and sustainability. By September 2023, I couldn’t stop thinking about the potential for something new—something that brought back the magic of real-time interaction but made it scalable, engaging, and sticky. And so, I set out to build Chatter Social. But I wasn’t a tech founder. I didn’t have a background in software development or a network of Silicon Valley insiders. What I did have was determination and the belief that if I could bring the right people together, we could build something extraordinary. Building the Team The journey to build Chatter started with assembling a team. Through my network from my days on Clubhouse, I found Samir, my first CTO. He believed in the vision and was instrumental in getting the project off the ground. Shortly after, I connected with Tyler, our Head of Design, whose creativity brought life to our ideas. A developer joined us soon after, and we were off to the races. By the end of 2023, Samir had to step away due to other commitments, and we promoted the developer to CTO. At the same time, I brought on Banko, a Sony music executive, as our CMO. Banko’s connections led to one of our biggest early wins: landing Davido, a global superstar, as an owner-ambassador. To this day, I still marvel at the fact that Davido believed in our vision when all we had were Tyler’s Figma designs. From Dream to Reality Early 2024 was a whirlwind. We hired Yurii and Vasyl, two developers from Ukraine who brought incredible skill and dedication to the team. Vasyl, in particular, stood out as a leader and has since earned an equity position in the company. But despite these wins, we were facing growing pains. Our new CTO struggled to meet deadlines, and as a result, I found myself constantly pushing back the launch date. What started as a January release turned into February, then March, then April, then May. By then, people on Twitter Spaces—where I had been hyping up the platform—started doubting if we even had a product. Launch and Lessons June 1, 2024, marked a turning point. It was the day my son Noah was born and the day we launched Chatter in private beta. We started with just 40 users, but by the end of the month, we had grown to 1,000. The engagement was unbelievable. Users loved it, even though we had launched with just one feature: live rooms. This represented less than 20% of what we had planned, but it was enough to show that we were onto something big. In July, we launched our public beta on the App Store as an invite-only platform. Within 48 hours, Chatter ranked as a top 30 social app in over 30 countries. But our invite system throttled access, and most users couldn’t get in. While engagement metrics soared for those inside, our AWS costs exploded. In August, our AWS bill hit $10,000. By September, it had climbed to $15,000, and we were drowning in bugs and glitches. The breaking point came when our CTO became unresponsive, often disappearing during critical moments. Users were dropping off, frustrated by the issues, developers were confused and the team was also growing increasingly frustrated, I made the tough decision to let him go. A New Beginning Enter Horane, a long-time user of Chatter who had been with us since private beta. He was the first to discover some of the most innovative use cases for the platform and had a deep passion for its potential. After meeting him in person at a Chatter event, I knew he was the right person to step into the CTO role. When Horane took over, we discovered just how bad the situation was. Key areas of the codebase were locked, and there were no separate environments for development and production. Every fix seemed to break something else. But through sheer determination and countless 18-hour days, Horane stabilized the platform. Today, Chatter is far from perfect, but it’s stable. The bugs that plagued us have been reduced to moderate issues, and our core users—those who stuck with us through the chaos—are still engaged on the platform. Looking Ahead: Chatter V2 While the platform is stable now, we’ve shifted our focus to Chatter V2. This is where the magic really begins. V2 isn’t just an improvement; it’s a complete reimagining of the platform. It includes all the features we couldn’t release in V1 because we were too busy putting out fires. Imagine this: Chatter V1, with only one live feature, was incredibly sticky. Now think about what happens when we release a fully loaded platform with all the innovative features we’ve been working on behind the scenes. The possibilities are endless. V2 is slated to hit TestFlight by the end of December, with a public release in January 2025. And this time, we’re ready—not just with the product but with the lessons we’ve learned. The Hard Lessons This journey has taught me more than I ever thought possible: 1) Your Team is Everything: The right people can make or break your vision. Finding people who believe in your mission is just as important as finding people with the right skills. 2) Adaptability is Key: As a non-technical founder, I had to learn about development, DevOps, and product management on the fly. Challenges will push you to grow, whether you’re ready or not. 3) Trust the Process: Every setback, every delay, every bug—it all taught us something. Without those lessons, we wouldn’t be building the incredible V2 product we are today. 4) Resilience is Non-Negotiable: From technical disasters to predatory investors who tried to exploit my desperation, I’ve had to fight for this vision every step of the way. What’s Next December is shaping up to be an exciting month. We have some amazing events planned on the platform to close out the year, bringing our core community together as we prepare for the V2 launch. When V2 drops, it will mark a new era for Chatter. This isn’t just a social audio platform or a social audiovisual platform. Chatter is all about interactive experiences—making social media social again in ways that are truly unique. The public launch is slated for February 2025, and for the first time, we’ll have the marketing dollars to tell the world about Chatter. Our core community has been our biggest cheerleaders, and I can’t wait to see how the world reacts when they experience what we’ve built. Final Thoughts This has been the hardest year of my life, but also the most rewarding. To other founders, or anyone thinking about starting a company: know this—it will test you in ways you can’t imagine. You’ll face betrayal, doubt, and moments where you feel like giving up. At the same time, I brought on Banko, a Sony music executive, as our CMO. Banko’s connections led to one of our biggest early wins: landing Davido, a global superstar, as an owner-ambassador. To this day, I still marvel at the fact that Davido believed in our vision when all we had were Tyler’s Figma designs. From Dream to Reality Early 2024 was a whirlwind. We hired Yurii and Vasyl, two developers from Ukraine who brought incredible skill and dedication to the team. Vasyl, in particular, stood out as a leader and has since earned an equity position in the company. But despite these wins, we were facing growing pains. Our new CTO struggled to meet deadlines, and as a result, I found myself constantly pushing back the launch date. What started as a January release turned into February, then March, then April, then May. By then, people on Twitter Spaces—where I had been hyping up the platform—started doubting if we even had a product. Launch and Lessons June 1, 2024, marked a turning point. It was the day my son Noah was born and the day we launched Chatter in private beta. We started with just 40 users, but by the end of the month, we had grown to 1,000. The engagement was unbelievable. Users loved it, even though we had launched with just one feature: live rooms. This represented less than 20% of what we had planned, but it was enough to show that we were onto something big. In July, we launched our public beta on the App Store as an invite-only platform. Within 48 hours, Chatter ranked as a top 30 social app in over 30 countries. But our invite system throttled access, and most users couldn’t get in. While engagement metrics soared for those inside, our AWS costs exploded. In August, our AWS bill hit $10,000. By September, it had climbed to $15,000, and we were drowning in bugs and glitches. The breaking point came when our CTO became unresponsive, often disappearing during critical moments. Users were dropping off, frustrated by the issues, developers were confused and the team was also growing increasingly frustrated, I made the tough decision to let him go. A New Beginning Enter Horane, a long-time user of Chatter who had been with us since private beta. He was the first to discover some of the most innovative use cases for the platform and had a deep passion for its potential. After meeting him in person at a Chatter event, I knew he was the right person to step into the CTO role. When Horane took over, we discovered just how bad the situation was. Key areas of the codebase were locked, and there were no separate environments for development and production. Every fix seemed to break something else. But through sheer determination and countless 18-hour days, Horane stabilized the platform. Today, Chatter is far from perfect, but it’s stable. The bugs that plagued us have been reduced to moderate issues, and our core users—those who stuck with us through the chaos—are still engaged on the platform. Looking Ahead: Chatter V2 While the platform is stable now, we’ve shifted our focus to Chatter V2. This is where the magic really begins. V2 isn’t just an improvement; it’s a complete reimagining of the platform. It includes all the features we couldn’t release in V1 because we were too busy putting out fires. Imagine this: Chatter V1, with only one live feature, was incredibly sticky. Now think about what happens when we release a fully loaded platform with all the innovative features we’ve been working on behind the scenes. The possibilities are endless. V2 is slated to hit TestFlight by the end of December, with a public release in January 2025. And this time, we’re ready—not just with the product but with the lessons we’ve learned. The Hard Lessons This journey has taught me more than I ever thought possible: 1) Your Team is Everything: The right people can make or break your vision. Finding people who believe in your mission is just as important as finding people with the right skills. 2) Adaptability is Key: As a non-technical founder, I had to learn about development, DevOps, and product management on the fly. Challenges will push you to grow, whether you’re ready or not. 3) Trust the Process: Every setback, every delay, every bug—it all taught us something. Without those lessons, we wouldn’t be building the incredible V2 product we are today. 4) Resilience is Non-Negotiable: From technical disasters to predatory investors who tried to exploit my desperation, I’ve had to fight for this vision every step of the way. What’s Next December is shaping up to be an exciting month. We have some amazing events planned on the platform to close out the year, bringing our core community together as we prepare for the V2 launch. When V2 drops, it will mark a new era for Chatter. This isn’t just a social audio platform or a social audiovisual platform. Chatter is all about interactive experiences—making social media social again in ways that are truly unique. The public launch is slated for February 2025, and for the first time, we’ll have the marketing dollars to tell the world about Chatter. Our core community has been our biggest cheerleaders, and I can’t wait to see how the world reacts when they experience what we’ve built. Final Thoughts This has been the hardest year of my life, but also the most rewarding. To other founders, or anyone thinking about starting a company: know this—it will test you in ways you can’t imagine. You’ll face betrayal, doubt, and moments where you feel like giving up. Calling each other names, when we are solving a problem created by colleagues; and the names are being called by those who created the problem is not logic, it is not normal. It is called an abnormality. That’s what we call it”. President Hakainde Hichilema. COMMENT: Given the facts of this case, it is unheard of and is therefore abnormal that President Hichilema believes that Zimbabweans should have kept quiet and done nothing about his abuse of his ex-officio chairmanship of Sadc’s Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation to unilaterally depart from the long established Sadc protocol of appointing the head of the Sadc Election Observation Mission [SEOM] to Zimbabwe from ministerial ranks in Zambia, among his UPND party elements, to instead appoint Nevers Mumba, a well-known loquacious and quarrelsome opposition political leader in Zambia. President Hichilema's unilateral appointment of Mumba, a reckless Zambian opposition politician, was not only abnormal, because it violated the normal protocol, but it was also provocative in the extreme from all standpoints, including diplomatic and political. Hichilema's abnormal and provocative appointment of a quarrelsome leader of an opposition political party in Zambia to lead SEOM in Zimbabwe has been compounded and made worse by many factors, notably and particularly four: Firstly, Mumba himself has since disclosed the shocking detail about the instruction he was given by President Hichilema prior to leaving for Zimbabwe: “He [President Hichilema] said to me, Mr Vice President go on behalf of Sadc, and all I expect from you is to help and give the Zimbabweans a free, fair and credible election. Those are the only…he said it twice. I need nothing from you Mr Vice President but free, fair and credible election, you would have done your job”. President Hichilema's instruction to Mumba is shocking not only because it is contrary to both the Sadc Code of Conduct for election observes and to the Sadc Principles and Guidelines on Democratic Elections, but also because it has the trappings of a regime change agenda. Secondly, there are striking similarities of form, substance and language between the Mumba report and the reports of European and US election observers, and the similarities leave a distinct impression of coordinated collusion. Thirdly, debates in European parliaments, like the UK’s House of Lords, have notably dragged in President Hichilema, as Europe’s hope and point man who is expected to use SEOM’s Mumba report to rein in Zimbabwe on behalf of Europe and the US. Fourthly, President Hichilema has been widely reported by the media in Zimbabwe and within Sadc to be unilaterally working the phones, including making a trip to Angola, to lobby for an extraordinary Sadc Summit to review and act on Mumba’s discredited report, in the vain hope of placing Sadc behind the ill-fated calls for fresh elections in Zimbabwe; to the detriment of the country's sovereignty. There’s a lot to be said about this abnormality of mess, but what is clear is that the abnormality was created by President Hichilema when, against established Sadc protocol, he appointed a reckless leader of an opposition political party in Zambia and gave him an unlawful instruction to "go and give the people of Zimbabwe a free, fair and credible election".
