Andy Burnham is doomed. Doomed! Not just because “multiculturalism” - the fracturing of society - has left Britain ungovernable. After sinking their fangs into Keir, Labour backbenchers are like a Bengal tiger with a taste for human flesh (“mmm, is that garam masala on the loincloth?”). They'll want to... hear the screams of another victim soon. And Burnham isn't the Messiah. He genuinely is just a naughty boy (or worse, depending on what we find out about grooming gangs in Oldham). He's got no vision, no mandate, no deep Westminster experience, and he won't be able to keep his party happy. Keir gave Labour MPs everything they wanted. Renters' rights, workers' rights, higher taxes. He made sure Britain had the best looked-after illegal migrants in the world. He stuck to his pledge of housing every Sudanese jihadi in a four-star hotel no more than three minutes' walk from a primary school. He even went cold on Israel. And he caved to their every demand - scrapping much needed welfare reform to appease them. He even got them their jobs (and they're not the sort of people used to such high salaries). But they still tore him down. Burnham will be an even bigger disappointment as they've pinned so many lefty dreams on him - rejoining Europe, scrapping immigration control, even higher welfare. He's about to find out that he won't be able to deliver on any of them. Partly because of the bond markets - but mostly because even Keir, the Borg king, the master of procedure, was unable to wrestle Britain's sclerotic bureaucracy to do what he wanted. Cheeky chappy Andy has got zero chance of mastering it. Giving a thumbs up and saying “eeh, stone roses on me walkman, proper avin it with me Everton season ticket laaaa” might make him seem relatable to the average mouth breather, but The Blob will be unmoved. Andy is the Boris Johnson of the left, and as Boris Johnson showed, people who make good mayors don't do well when they have to cope with the punishing intricacies of actually trying to get things done in government. So I wish Andy a very pleasant eleven months in government, but I've already put money on his demise.show more

[WATCH] THE PRESIDENT WILL NOT RESIGN. When it comes to the President, there is always a distinctive role between him being the President of the party and the state. There are many factors that influence the state in terms of governance and stability. If the President is called upon by some to resign and he keeps quiet it can throw the state into a state of turmoil. I want to make it clear that the officials agreed with the President on his approach, he took us into confidence and explained the factors that led him to make that particular pronouncement. We believe that the President did the right thing in pronouncing in the best interest of South Africa that he will not be resigning. There was nothing in terms of the judgment that warranted the President to resign it was just mere calls made by individuals and political parties that wanted to throw our country into a state of turmoil, uncertainty and anxiety. So it was imperative that he focus on that. It was correct for him to tell the country that from where he is standing there is nothing in the judgement that states he has done any wrongdoing and what he is going to do with the options in front of him and he has made this public. The President will take the Section 89 Report on review based on the outcome of the judgment and the legal advice he has received. There are no daggers out for the President to resign just opportunistic elements. These elements do not know what they want, they want to impeach and want him to resign, they do know what they actually want. The veracity of the report has not been tested in any committee so they don’t have a basis for the President to resign.

Shabana Mahmood MP supposedly was going to try to clamp down on the incoming huge wave of ILR claims over the next few yrs by making it a 10 yr rather than 5 yr qualification period….but now, under pressure from the left of his party, it looks like Andy Burnham is going to bottle it completely and back down, thus enabling millions more newcomers to be eligible for welfare and benefits. Pathetic and cowardly in the extreme. He is going to be a dangerously TERRIBLE Prime Minister, that is already guaranteed.

I think we can very much notice that he's a different man than he was in his first term. He's slower, he's a little more lethargic. But much more important to me is what he is saying before the world. That meeting with the generals… pulling them out from the theaters to stand before them rambling about how he walks on stairs, what wars he solved, that he doesn't like the design of battleships? Just bizarre comments that meandered. And apparently some of the generals were trying to take notes, and they just abandoned their notes because it was incoherent. I want this president to succeed. But it is clear to me that he is unwell. And I think the people around him have to recognize that and go to him and admit it to him.

This was a victimless act not a crime, twickeham rugby club can make out it affected them but it hasn’t, saying in court they have to brief up their security, and get runners for matches, if security was that good he wouldn’t of got in there, they have one job, Today, your boy Jarvo has been jailed for 15 months after an ID was found in Twickenham rugby club one day after Daniel. Was there doing one of his stunts, a corrupted jury gave him a guilty verdict. He has never used an ID to gain access to any stadiums. This is such an amazing story. An older man Tom had to leave his apartment because the landlord refused to allow him to keep his dog because it was a pitbull. Rather than get rid of the dog, he left the apartment and decided to stay in a tent.. After a while he realized he couldn’t really care for the dog, because he had health issues, so he took his best friend to the fire station with a note explaining his situation and asking if they could take care of his baby, they did of course, but something else happened. They decided to find him and they did. They realize that he was a veteran and so they set him up in a donated RV and while they’re attending to his health needs, they’re keeping the dog Jake for when he gets well enough they’re going to reunite them both . ❤️❤️❤️❤️ We hear all about the bad things going on. It’s just as important to hear about all the good things that people are doing.

Schumer: This is not the art of the deal. This is the art of surrender. Trump didn’t get peace through strength; he got payoff through weakness. Americans got almost nothing we wanted and needed, and Trump gave away the store. The Iranians took him to the cleaners. Look what they’re getting. They got more control of the Strait. They’re getting a $300 billion payoff. We Democrats are not going to vote for it. No one should vote for it. This money should be used at home, where it’s needed to reduce people’s costs, not as a payoff to the Iranians. The Iranians still have their missiles. Oil prices and gas prices will stay higher for a long time. Basically, Iran got just about everything it wanted, and we got nothing. So the bottom line is that this is a fiasco. It’s a disaster. Trump proved himself to be a terrible negotiator, and it’s obvious why. He never knew why he entered the war to begin with. He never told the American people. He never told the world. And it’s probably because he was worried about the Epstein files and his bad record on health care and costs. And it’s probably because he was worried about the Epstein files and his bad record on health care and costs. Andrei Tarkovsky on Ingmar Bergman's Shame (1968): "Let us look at Bergman's Shame. The film doesn't contain a single 'actor's piece' for the performer to 'give away' the director's purpose, to play the conception of the persona, his attitude to it, to assess it in relation to the overall idea; and the latter is entirely hidden within the dynamic of the characters' lives, at one with it. The people in the film are crushed by circumstances; they act only in accordance with their situation, to which they themselves are subordinate; they make no attempt to proffer us any idea, any perspective on what is happening, or to draw any conclusion. All of that is left to the film as a whole, to the director's vision. And how superbly it is accomplished! You cannot say in simple terms who amongst them is good or bad. I could never say that von Sydow is a bad man. They are all partly good and partly bad, each in his own way. No judgements are passed, because there is no hint of tendentiousness in any of the actors, and the circumstances of the film are used by the director to explore the human possibilities which they test, and not for a moment in order to illustrate a thesis. Max von Sydow's character is developed with masterly power. He is a very good man; a musician; kind and sensitive. It turns out that he is a coward. But when circumstances nevertheless force him to defend himself, he instantly turns into a scoundrel. He loses all that was best in him; but the drama and absurdity of his situation is that as he is now he becomes necessary to his wife, who, in her turn, looks to him for protection and succour instead of despising him as she always had. When he beats her about the face and says 'Get out!' she goes crawling after him. There is something here of the age-old idea of passive good and active evil; but its expression is immensely complex. At the beginning of the film the hero cannot even kill a chicken, but as soon as he has found a way of defending himself he becomes a cruel cynic. He has something of Hamlet: my view is that the Prince of Denmark perishes not as a result of the duel, when he dies physically, but immediately after the 'rat' scene, when he understands how irreversible are those laws of life which have forced him, a man of humanity and intellect, to act like the inferior people who inhabit Elsinore.
