In my opinion Starmer was the worst PM of all at least in my lifetime, the same goes for the whole Liebour party. Changes are definitely needed, if there is a change in PM there should automatically be a general election called.

I actually researched this a little. The reason the leadership contest was not put to "paying" labor party members was, that there was NO contest. As he was unopposed, it was a done deal and a slap in the face to the voters. The Dems in the US did the same with Kamala Harris.

Well said from start to finish. The problem is structural...the elites cannot rotate talking heads into credible leadership positions any longer. The only solution is something they will not do: tolerate and hybridise with popular opposition to them. Things will get worse now...

Because we vote for Partys not individuals. The cross-atlantic exposure to US politics, has caused folks to believe we live in some republic
