They scored a lot of goals in those manners. Ambitious (high risk/high reward) positioning of rest attack in transitions but also in possession their supporting runs from deep or curved in the half space to gain 2v1's before the final actions were crucial.

Striker darts to front post to arrive in end of crosses (rarely) but mainly to create space for teammates to exploit with late arrivals. Next he'll block the GK's field of vision staying on side but also prevent CB's from jumping increasing probability of scoring, all by design.

Testing vulnerable GK's with shot's from range. likely they'll save it but got tendencies of parrying into danger zones. ST's will capitalize with rebounds staying on toes, peel off timely (following shot), alert & optimistic. They also have a headstart.

There are times they ignore the supporting runs while they expect them to and put a well weighted outswinging cross with power towards the corridor of uncertainty causing own goals or lose their man at back post.

They don't regularly do it but another 1 of threatening tool is their inswinging crosses from the half space but not necessarily to those already occupying rather to players arriving late to crash the box with blindside runs achieving dynamic superiority.

Ange wasn't lucky with injuries impacting balance of the team at the back which has a knock on effect on the overall dynamics but even when he had them fit they were still vulnerable structurally in defense glaringly but it's a trade off, they're PL's 5th best attack this season.

Backtesting isn’t enough. Walk-Forward Validation stress-tests your strategy. By iterating through time blocks, this method ensures your model stays reliable in changing market conditions. Full code shared on my Substack:
