@claudelittner A couple of social houses on each new estate is worthless! They need to start building attractive, modern style council estates. Council houses were roomy for an average family & well built. They encouraged community, with kids from the road all playing outside.The good old days

If I'm not mistaken, casting my mind back to some research I did a few years ago, Margaret Thatcher constructed in excess of 210,000 'rentable' homes spanning her 13-year tenure, and Blair/Brown built fewer than 8,000 in their 13-year period, of which some were attributed to the coalition—they are all bluster and folly.
