Westerners have a problem with respecting people's cultures throughout history

This was the reason and aftermath👇 Since 2006, the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), closed public access to prevent further erosion. Visitors may walk around them, but no longer climb or enter them. She received a fine of 5,000 pesos, roughly $250.

I swear I’ve climbed this before. Like 20yr ago. When did they stop people doing this?

They were stealing the bikes, but Brazilian samurai saw them through the security camera

The crowd doesn’t need to attack the tourists, the Sacred Mayan Pyramid has steps so it’s meant to be climbed, if there’s some kind of procedure in climbing, they should’ve put sign of restriction area.

For anybody wondering, the crowd was screaming various things at her: from "lock her up", "disrespectful" and "(somebody) call the police" to chanting "jail, jail, jail"

I was there at those ruins last year. No one was allowed to climb them. They didn’t give a reason. They said people used to be able to buy you’re not allowed now. This person knew that. There’s no quiestion about that. She just climbed it for the giggles and the photo op. As they say “fck around and find out”. 🤷♂️
