A lot has been said about my Mum. Allow me say this. Frame one; That’s my home back in the village. Frame two; It’s the new home I built for my mum after I graduated in 2021 at the age of 21. In my whole generation no one has ever built a permanent house EVER!! Frame Three; Is my happy mum when I took her home and handed over the house to her. Frame four; This is her small business I opened for her in Mukuru slums to sell fruits as she does tailoring and repairing clothes for customers. Remember she has been a house girl for all these years to provide for all of us. So kabla nipate kazi nimtoe apo. The little I got nilimuekea biashara. You can see how happy she is. All said and done. Now you know why it’s a big deal Kupewa affordable house na my DAD William Samoei Ruto, PhD I’ll forever sing the TUTAM gospel Juu me ndio najua what he has done for us. Beauty ads just changed forever. Free Claude Opus 4.8 + GPT Image 2 + Seedance 2.0 workflow to spin up 100s of video ads. No studio, no model, no macro lens, no shoot day. Kling 2.6 Motion Capture is so good. It's a huge leap forward. We've been able to do motion capture with AI for a while, but the quality bump finally made this approach useful. Here are the steps: - Get a reference video - record it or get a stock video - Grab the start frame of that video - Edit it using Nano Banana Pro. Ask to replace character and background. - Select the Kling 2.6 Motion Capture model in the video generator on Freepik (now Magnific) - Upload reference video + set the edited start frame - Video prompt can be simple e.g. "Gandalf dancing"

That video is not the making of any of the songs that made the album, but it was one of the most fun days I had in the studio with the guys. We were just jumping up and down, singing the songs. I think that it was one of the freest days we had in the studio, creatively. So I do hope that song gets to see the light of day.

Making smart glasses frames was way harder than I thought. Here's what I learned: Materials matter. You can't use normal plastic, because it has to be light and safe to touch your face So we chose TR90 plastic that's made for eyewear Fake gray-market TR90 plastic is common in China. You gotta go to the source and make sure your TR90 is legit Glue is so important. If you put too much glue it will give issues, and add weight. Too little glue, won't stick. That's why it's better for a robot to do it (VIDEO) If the glue doesn't match the material perfectly, then it won't stick. So we tried like 4 glues to get the best one for our smart glasses You design the frame in 3D and then make a tool. A tool is just a metal mold that is shaped like the glasses. You put a bunch of melted plastic (TR90) in the tool, let it cool, and out pops the glasses frame. Do that 10,000 times Tooling leaves seams in the frame, so we figured out where to put the seam so it doesn't cut into your ear when you wear it Obviously this all must be super lightweight because the electronics are heavy The camera needs a certain perspective, so the glasses frame angles the camera down to capture hands in videos Throughout the design process, you can't sacrifice style And now our Mentra Live frames are born

⚽ Day 44 of building my soccer/football game solo in Unreal Engine. Tonight, we solved an animation bug that was occuring when blending animations together. Can you spot the difference between the two animation clips (right drag back versus left drag back? 🐛BUG: All animations rotated the player mesh (character body), but the capsule underneath (invisible box) never turned at all. 🎞️At the end of the animation, you'd see the player facing the direction where the animation begun on frame 0, then flick to where I was moving the left analog stick. This was resolved with a tool I built which moves the rotation to the invisible box instead. The same animations play, but now the game knows that the character's capsule has turned with an animation. #indiedev #gamedev #soccer #football #unrealengine

Framing is one of the hardest jobs on a site. You're balancing on trusses, reading blueprints on the fly, and timing every cut so the whole structure lines up by the time the roof goes on. It's the kind of work people spend years getting good at. Now watch what's happening in the footage. The robots are climbing the frame, setting studs, running the roof trusses, and doing it as a full crew, the way an actual framing team would, except none of them stop for lunch and none of them call in hurt. Nobody expected robots to learn a full trade before they learned to walk normally. They're already building the house. If you still think construction is years away from automation, the frame is already up.

For the last six months, my 6-year-old and I joked around with 67. He absolutely loved it. Good clean fun, I bought in. Then he went back to school, and suddenly it was embarrassing.
