Chinese think tank analyst Victor Gao, in an interview with Channel 4 News, said that China is fully prepared to fight to the very end "because the world is big enough that the United States is not the totality of the market in the world." The host noted that if the US shuts itself out of the China market, China will lose 15% in trade, to which Gao responded: "We don't care. China has been here for 5,000 years. When we see people being pulled off the streets, when we see students at universities being grabbed, detained, and kidnapped, and when we see Kristi Noem filming this disgusting video, we’re looking at a nation we no longer recognize. We don’t want to be like that nation. So now, as the prime minister said, we have to look elsewhere for the kinds of alliances, agreements, and understandings we used to have with our closest neighbor.
