Anime from the 2000s is so crazy. The computers were JUST strong enough to render things, so everything looks like a PS2 game. A lot of people laugh at this art style, but low def 3D that looks like this is the coolest thing ever. It gives the animation... a very distinct look.show more

CGI from 2000's anime looked pretty awesome most of the time. a favorite series of mine uses it for the space vehicles, the space station, and aliens and for the most part it looks pretty cool.... for the most part

If it was a CG anime made today:

If done well, cg can always work. When done poorly, you get garbage like ex arm (for a cg show released in the last few years, it looks like a video game cinematic from 95-2000)

Let’s not forget the brilliant CGI in n 1983’s Gogo 13 a first for any animated film (Dezaki’s my favourite anime director but you’d think they would have decided this wasn’t working)
