This wasn’t in the manga? FASCINATING! Between this and the apparently anime-only Golden Kizuna Kaiser form, I like that the anime is taking liberties about not only adapting the source but EXPANDING even more, as opposed to just being a glorified ad for the manga

Yes. The anime has a lot of anime original scenes, many of the kizuna five back stories was not in the manga Also the whole episode about Tougo and Kiyoshiro was not in the manga Kiyoshiro becoming bansou killer was only a 2 panel info in the manga
