This has been part of the indoctrination and conditioning for decades, being passed off as comedic or quirky nature. The boy risks life and limb for the girl only to be greated by unjustified assault and battery. No repentance nor any sort of just recompense. Rather sickening..

To be fair, this entire anime is shit. I bought on accident (looking at multiple anime and didn't realize it was in my cart), and I just gave it away because I didn't acrually want to buy it, and it was easier than returning it.
