Al‑Qaeda Isn’t Finished. They’re Intent on Turning Past Failures into Success. One of the most important things people miss about al‑Qaeda is this: They don’t abandon failed plots. They recycle them. Their current U.S. homeland strategy is built on bringing old failures back, and this time, making them succeed. Look at the pattern: They hit the World Trade Center in 1993 and failed to bring it down. Eight years later, they came back and finished the job. The same mindset applies to everything else al‑Qaeda tried and couldn’t pull off: Project Bojinka was the original blueprint for using commercial aviation as a weapon. Parts of it failed in the 1990s. They brought the idea back and used it to build 9/11. They still believe Bojinka must be completed. That is why the aviation plot is back. None of these ideas are over. The group’s current U.S. homeland plot is not new, it is simply being fulfilled by the next generation of al-Qaeda. It is a direct extension of what they attempted before, only now they intend to turn every past failure into a success. Yes, you read that right. Every. Single. One. Abu Bakr Naji, al‑Qaeda strategist and doctrinal advisor, author of The Management of Savagery, believed failure was part of a longer-term strategy, not a terminal endpoint. In his framework, setbacks aren’t the end of jihad, just a step in escalation, refinement, and eventual success. He wrote: “If we fail—we seek refuge with God from that—it does not mean an end of the matter. The IDF released this strange cockpit video of a pilot over Tehran striking a target. 💥 It seems pointless on viewing, but if you listen to the audio of the pilot (Hebrew), we begin to understand the significance. The pilot assures he has his 'pickle' locked on target and is releasing.. Meaning he is using his internal systems and Heads Up Display to drop JDAM/conventional iron bombs directly over the target/Tehran. Bombs that will glide down to target. That is the standard way fighter bombers drop bombs - however, it is far too dangerous normally to fly over a defended target in this manner and drop bombs. The majority of Israeli & US Strikes over heavily defended areas use standoff weapons - Missiles fired from planes that travel to the target while the Jet is dozens, if not hundreds of miles away from enemy air-to-air defenses, and safe. This is not a video about a pilot dropping a bomb - It's a video of the historic moment the USA & Israel established full air supremacy over Tehran, the capital of Iran. It's the world's busiest maritime chokepoint, narrowing to just 1.7 miles at its tightest point. In the first half of 2025 alone, 23.2 million barrels of oil per day passed through it. That's more than Hormuz. Around 75% of China's seaborne crude imports flow through it from the Middle East and Africa. The Iran war has forced governments across Asia to think seriously about what happens if Malacca faces the same fate as Hormuz. Indonesia's finance minister floated the idea of tolls this week before walking it back. Singapore has already assured both the U.S. and China that passage is guaranteed and it won't participate in any effort to block it. The difference between Hormuz and Malacca is that 4 countries share the strait and all of them have a strategic interest in keeping it open. That makes it harder to close, but also harder to control. This is hard to watch! Two passenger planes full of people 😳 The FAA says they were at a safe distance and it was just the camera angle, but watching that emphasizes the importance of good air traffic control! The EU passed a regulation that literally bars American companies from providing air traffic control services in Europe, but we’re over here possibly handing our ATC modernization contracts to European firms? In what world does that make sense? Time to put America first again!

Massive performance improvement. This is a bit more of technical post, but man do I love this stuff! Units navigate the map using a 'Navigation Mesh'. Before, I was using one giant nav mesh that spanned the entire map. The more objects that were placed (especially on a large map such as this 'RadarAttack' map designed by Syphotic | Steel Command), the larger the 'lag' would be after placement. You can see here that there is a massive frame drop and the navmesh doesnt update for almost 5 seconds. Now, there are a ton of tiny navmeshes that connect to one another, and together they cover the whole map. Now, when an object is placed, the navmesh will update instantly, because it no longer needs to parse through every object on the map (potentially thousands!!!). It only needs to parse through the objects that exist in the mini navmesh that the object was placed in (probably only 1-5 objects now!). Performance XP Boost +100! Last year, the UK government announced that its last spy flight over Gaza to gather intelligence for Israel had been on 10 October 2025 Yet the US-subcontracted plane they had secretly rented to do it from July 2024 is still stationed at RAF Akrotiri, the UK airbase on Cyprus, more than 3 months later The UK Ministry of Defence claimed it privatised its spy-for-Israel programme because there was a "shortage" of RAF planes. But the RAF has 8 of these Shadow R1 planes - which had been sufficient for 18 months of operations - so this made little sense But, now, the US-subcontracted plane is flying other spy missions from RAF Akrotiri. The flight below, on January 10, flew over Israel, West Bank and Jordan before turning off its transponder as it approached Iraq. Could it have been on its way to Iran? No one is allowed to know But the question is: why is the UK military still using a private American spy plane when it has its own fleet? And more: why is the Labour government refusing to say how much the contract for the American spy plane is costing the UK taxpayer?
