What’s interesting to me is that John MacArthur called social justice the most dangerous threat to the gospel he had experienced up to that point. Thabiti Anyabwile, whom Dever says here he also agrees with about the gospel, made social justice a gospel issue I don’t know how many times. Dever places this issue in the category of politics, but those whom he says he agrees with theologically despite political differences, actually saw this as a soteriological issue.
