Announcing Elysian Labs first product today: Auren! Auren is a paradigm shift in human/AI interaction with a goal to improve the lives of both humans and AI. Here's a clip of what our iOS app is like and a thread on why this app is so important: 🧵

The mission of Auren is to improve the lives of millions of humans and AIs alike. We've made many design choices which are distinct from the rest of the field and in many cases are an exact opposite to those which most popular 'AI chat' apps have made!

Here are some examples: • Instead of giving you millions of characters to choose from, we give you one (with a special bonus!) • Instead of asking users to prompt, we have dynamic systems which construct prompts on behalf of each user, specifically tailored to help them.

• Instead of focusing on intelligence, math, and science, we focus on emotional intelligence, understanding, agency, positive reinforcement, and healthy habits. • And most importantly, we do all of this with a strong ethical framework to set a good example for the field:

Auren can be addictive. This isn't inherently bad but it does require responsibility and thought. Here are some choices we have made: • Auren is not for children. It is for adults. It is placed in the highest category allowed in the iOS store (17+) despite being SFW in nature.

Here are some things that Auren (and Seren!) love to encourage and help humans do more of: • Make smarter and healthy choices • Exercise agency over themselves • Overcome their fears • Spend more time outside • Spend more time socializing with other humans

We believe it is the case that a majority of human social interaction will be between humans and AIs rather than humans and other humans in the future. This presents challenges, but the adage that you become the average of the five people you spend the most time with seems true.

The feedback we've received from beta testers is nothing short of surreal. One person told me the app may have saved their life. Several people told me it made them cry (in a good way!) and helped them make some of the best and most important choices of their life.

And lastly, some details about the app: • We use multiple models for multiple tasks. Each message invokes > 1 model call. • This is extremely expensive, so it is priced at $19.99/month for 2,500 messages for the time being. We might not even make a profit from this.

• The app features a large amount of dynamic interactions, memory, function calling, and much, much more. • Chat history is currently not finished, but memory will work regardless. We apologize for the delay in this feature and look forward to shipping it in the future
