Announcing Project Ridge: Union's collaboration with Avalanche🔺 to bring trustless, super-efficient interoperability to Avalanche L1s. Here’s what it means 🧵 ↓

1/ Union is the hyper-efficient cross-chain protocol for messaging, intents, and chain abstraction. It's a settlement layer for all execution environments—EVM, SVM, BitVM, altVMs, you name it. But what about Avalanche? Also yes.

2/ Project Ridge will bring trustless interoperability to Avalanche L1s, enabling: • Seamless liquidity • Low-risk asset transfers • Secure cross-chain communication All powered by Union’s ZK tech + consensus verification.

3/ Here's why this matters: The Avalanche ecosystem thrives on decentralization, scalability, and performance. Project Ridge takes it further by integrating IBC Warp Messaging with: • Trustless light client architecture • Permissionless connectivity • Advanced features (storage proofs, account abstraction, and more).

4/ Union will develop two key components: • P-chain Light Client: Built in Rust, and accompanied by comprehensive documentation and testing. • ZK Circuit for P-chain Light Client: Complete with a verifier and robust testing to support the P-chain light client.

5/ With Union’s trustless setup, Avalanche L1s will gain: • Speed & efficiency: Faster transactions with reduced wait times. • Top-tier security: Consensus verification = no more bridging vulnerabilities. • Cost-effectiveness: Lower on-chain costs via ZK proofs + signature aggregation. • Broad connectivity: Access to IBC-based + Union-connected ecosystems.
