this is the kind of reaction anyone who builds infra dreams of so really made my day i want to highlight 2 points: 1. removing the question “what ecosystem do i build in” is a huge unlock. it’s unbelievable how much friction and future technical debt that single question creates even before a crypto project ever started 2. at times it seems Ika「🦑」 was an overkill, so flexible, so robust, so scalable, so decentralized, all that zero-trust complexity, we kept hearing that no one wants or needs all that. but as much of a cliche as it is, when you’re building the infrastructure of the future you sometimes need to remember that ford didn’t win with faster horses. and if you build an undeniable infrastructure, that solves big problems, and you make it the best on every front, no tradeoffs, you can help builders to be competitive. and the combination of those two unlocks - not needing to choose an ecosystem and an undeniable competitive advantage on every front - makes Ika very very unique so here’s a video of me yapping about how ika gives builders the ability to build more competitive products - but do me a favor and read null’s article down here

Koenigsegg Jesko Attack at 25 🫡💥 I don’t want to say I didn’t know this day would come, because I always knew it would with how hard I lock in and put my head down on goals, however with the severe health issues the past 2 years I must say that I appreciate this moment so much more and truly feel proud of myself for never giving up no matter what. This has taught me that going through an unreal level of suffering always makes you appreciate things much more, and sometimes is even a big reality check on life. With that being said, I’ll be back to streaming on the 22nd December at 7PM CET on my Kick channel giving away $250,000 for Christmas. Trailer is at the end of the post. its so touching hearing vernon and minghao openly tell each other what they admire and appreciate about one another🥹 🐻‍❄️ we already talked about this, but for me.. i was so deeply moved by the8’s childhood interview. i’m not saying this because i’m trying to be funny. he was.. much more earnest about it than i was. because, to be honest, i worked hard as a member of seventeen, but i also just liked being with the members, and it was more of “happy to be together” for me. but for the8, from that young of an age, he wanted to be a star. and to achieve that, he came to korea at a young age. he faced things in a place where he didn’t speak the language, and he made it this far. seeing that childhood interview made me think about a lot of things. that’s why i really wanted to add it at the start of our v8 unit album. that was really moving to me. that’s how i felt. 🎱 i'm feeling moved right now because i’ve never seen vernon express himself like this before. like... “that’s how you felt?” and i’m so moved right now. while working on our v8 unit album, seeing vernon be so sincere about making this music made him look so cool and was very moving for me to see. and seeing him in pain, but also so happy, was nice to see. vernon’s just a kid who should always be able to do what he wants. that’s what reduces his chaos. seeing that, i couldn’t help but cheer him on beside him. it made me want to make sure he could do everything. 🐻‍❄️ i was so grateful for that, and i’m grateful for you providing this opportunity, and for trusting me and being with me. 🎱 we’re grateful to each other for many things. today’s been a bit cheesy, but i’m feeling moved right now. In this exchange with Maher, I explain how Trump created a new norm—making truth optional. Maher: Don't you think it has something to do also with the confidence with which you back up your bullshit? I mean, we're going to talk about the economy on the panel. I think he has for the economy. I don't see good things on the horizon. Steve [Stephen Moore] will just obviously argue with me about that. But Trump has what I call contagious confidence. He is so bullish and so confident. Well, he must know what he's doing, you know. And at some point, I think it falls away. But with the dogs and the cats thing, I think people, when we first heard it, were like, come on, man. They're eating the dogs? We know they're not eating the dogs. And yet he said it with such confidence that you can get by. Me: Yes, about that, even for people who knew that this was nonsense, in the past it was, if you blatantly lie, you've killed your credibility forever. You've at least got to pretend that you yourself think that you're telling the truth. It's not clear that he actually believed it. But just by making the truth whatever he says, and removing statements from the realm of things that you can fact check, you can verify, just if the charismatic leader says it, that's good enough. This father had never missed any of his son’s baseball games in his life. He had to miss this tournament because his best friend was getting married and he was a groomsman. He woke up at 3:30AM and drove 100 MPH that Sunday morning to try to and at least make the Sunday games after missing the Saturdays games. And, of course this was the only tournament all year that his son’s team lost their first game on Sunday, so he didn't make it in time because the first game was at 8 and there was no second game. When he pulled up his son saw him and he ran full speed and jumped into his arms and wouldn’t let go. Dad said his son told him, “daddy, you can’t ever miss again. I love you so much. Not having you with me this weekend made me feel so empty, please never miss again, I'm so thankful your my daddy!” 🥹 His wife filmed that video. ❤️ I remember those days well. Speeding like a bat out of hell to make it on time. I have always made my kid’s games and activities. It’s what I live for. And the few times I had to miss, I felt like I let them down. What a great father he is. That boy is fortunate. 💯 Do you remember this feeling? Trying your hardest to make it to one of their activities and just feeling sad that you couldn’t be there?

BACK STORY: A teacher friend told me this story about teaching kids words with different suffix examples and when he asked his students for words ending in “an”, a grade one student said “lesbian”. No big deal but the writers and I thought it would be funny to run with that a bit. So we wrote the cold open as you see in the photos of the script. On the day of filming, two of the writers, Shebli Zarghami and @Jessie_Gabe came to me and suggested we add “words that end in “on”-prostitution”. So I ran with that and the kids and I improvised what you see in the scene. At that point, we were done with the scene and very happy about it. In my opinion, what Jessie and Sheb suggested next is what made the scene go viral BUT, we were too late because they thought of it AFTER, we had already shot (videoed) the kids. I spoke with Keith our director and suggested it was worth grabbing a wild line (no camera) of adding one more word suffix and joke that Jessie and Sheb thought of: “Words that end in “re”- crack whore”. It would be take too much time to turn all the cameras around to shoot Faith saying two works (crack whore) but I thought the line was so funny, that it was worth grabbing it. So we did and the that’s why you don’t see Faith saying the line but for me, it took the scene to another level. On this show, we always added lines on the day from anyone who had them, especially the writers. We wrote great scripts but sometimes we found these little moments on the day of filming that added to the scene. We never stopped looking for the funny and in this case the instincts (and comedy) of Jessie and Sheb took this scene to another level!! #MrD
